Charley--It's funny what you wrote about the class warfare card, funny because our President-Select just said yesterday that "it's time to fling open the doors and windows and invite everybody to the party," meaning that he (allegedly) recognizes that there's a bunch of folks who've been left behind by the economic expansion of the past 20 years...

What's funny, though, is that his tax cut is in direct contradiction to his rhetoric (not funny, I guess, but not suprising, either). As the Dionne article noted, the benefits of Bush's tax cut are heavily targeted to the rich--how is helping them out (with finite dollars available for tax cuts) gonna help out the folks who have been left behind? Oh, THAT'S RIGHT, it's the good ol' "trickle-down effect," meaning if we give enough to the rich a little of it will trickle down to the rest of the folks. Or, as a former professor of mine once said, it's like feeding oats to the horse in order, eventually, to feed the sparrows....

Nice...
