Mark, I don't know anything about Lotus Approach either, and why it is opening when I click on shutz is beyond me. I think I will try deleting the shutz and reinstalling it to see if this happens again. I'll let you know how it works out! By the way, did I ever mention that this shutdown problem only occurs if I am using the internet (via browser)? If my kids use the computer just to play a game, shutdown is no problem. I don't know if that helps any, but it might be an IE issue too. Thanks. -pat
