It sounds like an obligatory, spineless, CYA comment to me. << That certainly didn't keep all of the dems. from jumping upon the tax cut bandwagon. The dems. are falling all over themselves promoting their tax cuts. Bush has responded to the electricity problem by pushing to get his oilfield buddies into Alaska. That is blatant corruption. You can choose to close your eyes to it, if you want to. Yea, the nerve of that guy, sending oilmen to Alaska to drill for oil. Who did you expect would go to drill for more oil? Are you going to send up a bunch of fisherman, or one of Bills favorites, Hollywood stars. How about some of Intel's engineers. They can't even design a chip. How would they find any oil? Get real. Sending the oil companies to drill for more oil isn't corrupt. Its probably the only sane thing to do. Collecting millions in personal and campaign contributions and then giving pardons is corrupt however. Clinton took excellent care of the budget, the environment, and the economy. Bush has shown no signs of intelligence or honesty in any of those areas. < Not so. Name me one democratic congressman who thinks we shouldn't have a tax cut. Everybody thinks we need the stimulus to prevent a recession. That is taking care of the economy; and what is stupid or corrupt about that? Besides, G W has been in office less than 2 wks. Wait until he actually has done something; then you may have a point. Name me one actual dishonest act G W has done that even mildly compares to Bill's pardon, or Hillary's sleazy registry. I will say this, unless the democratic party gets rid of the sleaze, Bill, Hillary and Terry, the dems, (barring a scandal during the next four yr.)will again be on the outside looking in. Stay in denial all you wish. But I am betting that the next leader of the Democratic party won't be connected in any way to Bill. Al is or will be dead. Likewise for Hillary and Dick. My bet is that the dems will chose a complete outsider (Maybe Jimmy Carter will make a comeback.) in order to distance themselves from the sleaze. Why? Because once the ex Clintonites write their books, Bill's popularity will plummet. Call me stupid, but I sincerely doubt if we have heard the last about Bill's trading of favors for campaign money.
