I grew up on raw shellfish, too. My dad really liked it and I developed a taste. I lived for a while in Florida where I could just put on a mask and snorkel, walk out my back door, and get scallops and oysters. Ate as much as I could whenever I could of raw clams and oysters for years and years, but it's been a long time since I dared. I miss the stuff. Still eat a lot of fin-fish sushi. I eat raw beef, too, although I'm working on that.

I'm too much of a scientist to want to eat much of anything animal that is uncooked. I would not eat them here or there, I would not eat them anywhere. I would not eat them fast or slow, I would not eat them in the snow. I might eat them if that was my only choice.
