My guesses as to which CPUs Hector was referring to: 1. Mobile Duron 2. Palomino 3. Mobile Palo 4. Morgan 5. Mustang So far, only 1 for 5. Palomino could theoretically make it, but all indications are that a March launch is the most likely. Assuming we accept the first item as a legitimate 'new' intro (which is arguable either way IMHO), the best we can do is get 3 out of 5. Mustang is nipped, and Morgan in any form is about a quarter behind Palomino. I hope Hector learned a lesson here about keeping promises and the down side of using actual dates in interviews. For that matter, I hope he remembers even saying it in the first place! That makes me wonder... I just looked at the "AMD processor roadmap" again from the 11/9/00 presentation, and it only shows palomino and morgan as possible 'new' processors between 11/15/2000 and 2/15/2001, with the Morgan being so far back in the 1H part of the timeline that I doubt it was intended to be released by 2/15/2001. Page 73: amd.com Assuming both were intended prior to 2/15/2001, that would make 4 new intros. And mustang the 5th? I think that is doubtful though, since Morgans are clearly Q2 on the roadmap. Do you remember when Hector made that claim? If he made it prior to that 11/9/00 conference call then I think it could be asserted that all bets are off and the 'new' roadmap shows that he had to eat his words. End of story. If he made it after 11/9/00, I think it is possible that he was merely referring to new processor speed introductions. 1. Duron 850 (1/8/2001) 2. Mobile Duron 600 (1/15/2001) 3. Mobile Duron 700 (1/15/2001) Loud and Clear: Athlon is not on the list. (1.2 GHz was intro'd on 10/17/2000). Maybe Hector meant that there would be virtually 5 new processors. [Virtuhammer] <g> JJ
