Great!!!!! Thanks for translating that table... right, a control group is what that's called... the idea of reducing the intake of dietary fat as a prerequisite for weight loss is not true... ever since the no-fat and low-fat food have been introduced into the mainstream of American cuisine, this country has seen an increase in weight gain... this is Atkin's argument, and I think he makes a very good point... as a substitute for the fat which is removed from those foods, additional carbohydrates are infused into those foods, read the nutrition labels and see that for a fact... the same non-fat item has more carbohydrates in it than the regular item that still contains the fat... dietary fat is not fattening, it does not produce fat in our bodies... the only thing that can produce fat in our bodies is excess carbohydrates... nothing else... this is a biochemical fact..... carbohydrates are converted into glucose to be metabolized... the pancreas produces insulin, and that insulin is what transforms the carbohydrates we eat into digestible glucose... this is, in fact, the problem that diabetics have, the diabetic's pancreas is not producing sufficient insulin so it cannot metabolize the intake of carbohydrates and sugars, so the diabetic has to introduce insulin artificially by way of injection or by some other way... the normally functioning pancreas can easily handle the carbohydrates we ingest... the key to weight loss is to restrict the amount of carbohydrates and therefore turning off the insulin spigot... as a result, we burn the stored body fat which is really excess carbohydrates.....

I know you may have already understood this biochemical and physiological phenomenon, but for the sake of any other reader who might be interested in metabolism and body fat I thought a fuller explanation might be appropriate here.....
