I will try again, and try to do a better job for you all. I look forward now, btw, to your comments on the posts of your fellow thread denizens! Start with The Street, perhaps. These are the facts: Greatergood receives not more than 25% of the corporate donations to offset development and maintenance costs of the site. (Monthly server costs alone are over 23,000.) Since the hosting fees, which equate to every charity's overhead costs (except they're much lower than average), are figured into the donation totals each month, 100% of what you donate with your click goes to the Hunger Site beneficiaries. What that means is that when you read the monthly donation-of-food totals, which I always do with interest, you should be aware that the 25% administration, or hosting, fee has already been deducted from that, so don't deduct it again in your head. And as I said in my later post to you, MercyCorps' overhead was 5.7% in 1999. What was the Red Cross's?
