How about if it's predictably going to die emaciated before the age of two or three with flies crawling in and out of its nose, too weak to brush them away, too weak to cry from the agony any more? Many children in the third world do have such horrible things happen to them, but that doesn't mean that it is likely for any particular child. The majority of third world children don't die that way. If you saw a child who was 6 months old and you knew that he or she would die the way you discribe at 2 and a half would you shoot the kid so it would avoid the suffering? You don't have any children, do you? I can't imagine anyone who has a child writing You can't imagine anyone who has children saying they should not be killed to avoid possible future suffering? To answer your question no I don't have kids. I have a bunch of younger brothers and sisters and I have nieces and newphews but no kids of my own. Tim
