U.S. shares set for sloppy open

NEW YORK (CBS.MW) - The major U.S. averages are preparing for a mixed open Monday, with slight weakness emerging in the tech arena following Friday's drubbing.

March S&P 500 futures added 2.20 points and were trading 0.50 point below fair value, according to HL Camp & Co. Nasdaq futures, meanwhile, gave up 10.50 points, or 0.4 percent.

Over in the Treasury corner, prices were close to flat levels. The 10-year note was up 1/32 to yield ($TNX) 5.14 percent while the 30-year government bond was flat to yield ($TYX) 5.505 percent.

In the currency segment, dollar/yen edged down 0.1 percent to 115.46 while euro/dollar climbed 0.7 percent to 0.9408.
