George,
It's great to see that folks are still hanging out on the old DEC board! I check it once in awhile....whenever I need a good dose of humility ;-) DEC certainly taught me that a company with great technology is not always a great investment. It also taught me to keep my mouth shut whenever I am tempted to make predictions...or at least use an anonymous screen name :-)

Regards, Dave

George/all, agree it's great to see people still check in here. Was every 6mths and seems to be narrowing to bi-monthly or less, wonder if that's significant?

Re: the general market, I'd start to trust a turnaround if it was at least accompanied by gold. To me it looks like the central banks have been sitting on gold to put out some fire they see. Rather than putting me at ease, that makes me more afraid of the dark. Yes I did happen to pick up some HM in Nov, unfortunately not my first<g>. I think gold is the cheapest sector out there, but it's no free market so beware. If/when the sector turns around, I like HM and PDG because they seem big enough to make it to the "when" stage. NEM is currently near its lows also and previously had a bigger market cap. For cheap spec little guys, if gold makes it, I like TVX, and KGC at these prices. May be a long wait, i.e. investments.

regards,
Tom

Hmmmm, so the DEC Board is alive and well.

Yes, i would like to see MSFT and INTC in the dust...

I sold some of my Beas and SNDK to buy BND.
now our shareholders group owns more than 25% of the co.
I strongly believe that, due to a gross undervaluation and to being active in two booming markets (Appliance software and Contract manufacturing) BND has a good chance to be at least a ten bagger from these levels (3$)
While i tend to be right many times, i may be wrong this time... ;-)
and yes, i spent the best part of my life with DEC.

and, yes, i tend to invest in companies that got portions of DEC's business in the past, like CPQ, (sold to buy BND) QNTM (sold long ago) Beas, BND and so on..
