a deal in china must be very close. asia seems to be very strategic to interphase. in y2000
they have created a distribution cannel the covers all major economies but indonesia from nothing
when compared to y1999.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as the single point of contact for questions or problems from customers related to
Interphase’ hardware and software.
Responds to most technical questions and follows up with development teams for
answers as needed.
Duplicates/reproduces in Interphase’ lab problems defined by customers.
Conducts on-site installation of equipment and follows established testing procedures
to ensure proper working order.
Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.
Trains customer personnel and OEM dealers as required in equipment operation and
maintenance responsibilities.
Represents the company in a customer support role and is responsible for customer’s
satisfaction.
Prepares daily logs and reports of work performed.
Provides technical support to sales staff, customers and technical support in
determining feasibility of company products for customer requirements.
Prepares and presents feasibility demonstrations or applications for company products.
Provides product specifications.
Participates in or conducts training on product functionality for internal and external
audience.
Performs demonstrations to ensure viability of the solution while addressing customer
questions and concerns.
Performs follow-up technical support on specific applications.
Confers with engineering to clarify and/or resolve problems.
Coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system.
Plans and develops experimental test programs.
Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design
modifications as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
-Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science or
Electrical Engineering; and five to ten years related experience in customer service and
trouble-shooting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
-Requires a solid understanding of telecommunications provider industry, data
communications, strong knowledge of network design and troubleshooting techniques.
-Must be able to travel 25% of the time.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE;
-Residence in Hong Kong or Singapore is considered a plus
-Ability to speak Cantonese is a plus
