Since you ask- I think you acknowledge that all people at the table come there with certain assumptions some of which are bound to be based on race.

Thanks for your response. I think I'm starting to understand at least part of why we're talking past each other on this but I'm not sure I can explain it. Maybe it's simplest to just say that we're assuming participants on different ends of the sophistication scale of racial sensitivity.
