The data is never current; only at month do you get the latest mid-month data and even then it would be at least 2 weeks old. That is the best we can get.

I don't believe short interest is released more than once a month. On the Nasdaq, I am pretty sure of it but this probably also extends to the NYSE.

That means we will only have the January 15 data right up until the end of February. Just have to make our best guesses of what may be happening in the interim.

I am hoping JDSU short interest has gone up since mid January---i suspect it has.

BTW--the link I posted earlier may be the source of the Nasdaq data; the first site to get the new monthly data. That is why I use.
You are right--the other site with 01/01 is misleading. However, it is better for making comparisons and rankings.
