Exactly! It works and it works well.

What counts is not the number of design in progress but the volume of shipments. In this industry 90 percent of the volume comes from 10 percent of the products. Most products never reach high volume.

It is likely, for example, that Scumbria micro project will never reach respectable volumes. He is simply spending too much time posting his dribble on this thread to be providing proper oversight for any complex project. <G>

DDR is a mature technology in embedded applications. The launch of socketed DDR occured about 6 weeks ago, and it will probably be a few months before all the chipset and motherboard issues are worked out.

Do you remember the launch(es) of DRDRAM and the i820?
