YYB, I'm more than a little upset by anti-choice people weighing in with their feelings here. The header clearly states that this is a pro-choice thread. I take posts like a number of the ones you've had today as either hastily-written or deliberately flaunting the header. I hope things calm down here, or I'd suggest this thread be moved to a moderated forum. I'll do it if need be, but I'm a pretty hard threadmistress.....

Dear Doña Quixote: I admire your faith in your fellow human beings and their willingness to "follow the rules," but I am not hopeful about the prospects for an open thread about such a controversial subject as abortion. Good luck with the thread. I might drop by to provide (im)moral support, but I cannot, in good conscience, support an unfettered right to the procedure commonly called "partial birth abortion."
