So awefully sad. The state of mind all suicide victims experience to drive them to do such a thing....I cannot even begin to imagine the suffering..... As to eternal salvation.....Amen and Amen!! Scriptur tell us; John 3:15-16 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.Twice for emphasis We are also told in scripture: Ps 103:1-20 1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed. 7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. 8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. 9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. 10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. 12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. 13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. 14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. 15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. 17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children; Luke 17:3-4 3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent , forgive him. 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And again: Matt 18:21-23 21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. 23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. ....I'm sure you all know the rest of the story. This was our example given to us by Jesus Himself. If we were given this perfect illustration by Jesus as to how often we should forgive one another....how much more will the grace of God flow to us....when we ask God for forgiveness.....even 70x7 Only by the blood of Jesus and the mercy and love of God are we always forgiven when we sincerely repent. ------------ ------------ Jack I must also bring your attention to I Jn 3:15 15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. And that can be reckoned with Matt 5:21-24 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: The greek word here for kill is: Strong's #5407 phoneuo (fon-yoo'-o);to be a murderer...it is where we get the word felony from. To lay in waite. To murder in cold blood. There is a great distinction between kill...and...murder!The commandment says...you shall do no murder! 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. fool as t is used here; Strong's #3474 moros (mo-ros'); morally depraved of anything that is of God. Quite different from our usage of the word. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. It would appear that these two scriptures teach us that a murderer must face God (Literally).... and the one he murdered before he can be forgiven. O what a mighty God we serve, all praise and glory be unto Him. Let all who love Him worship Him in truth. Have a good evening my friend, and my regards to your wife Shalom...><>
