Hi Unc Frank & JGoren,

Like you folks I have sold CC on QCOM for quite a few months also. Not only has it provided some beer $, selling CC's on about 15% of my position has been therapy for me.
Maybe the question is, if I make it thru Feb with 85's.90's and 95's, do I wait to sell again till we hear from China? Another question is do I cover the Jan 220's sold for 5 or so points when the stock jumped to low 100's? man, I'd love to get taken out @ $220.00 by then <g>

Nice thread you folks have here.

Qhead,Qtip, Tony

I guess my main point is that the qcom is very "news driven" and that is the major risk to selling calls. Thanks for the tip on selling 2-3 months out. So far, I have only been selling a month to a month and a half out. However, I went long Jan '03 60 Leaps when the stock was in the mid 50's.

Qualcomm (qcom: news, chart) is slipping 94 cents to $82. Analyst T.C. Robillard at Salomon Smith Barney said in a research note to clients that figures received late Tuesday indicate that South Korea witnessed a contraction in its subscriber base for the second straight month in January. Robillard reiterated his "buy" rating on the stock, saying, but believes "the stock will continue to be newsflow driven."
