You didn't answer my question. Have you read it? As nearly as I can tell without wasting my time reading it, it is rant against the protective tariff and industrialism. Little wonder that the South was totally incapable of defending itself once it had alienated the productive part of the union.

Of course I have time to waste Dear Mr. Wastrel, Just saw this link on another thread... I don't want to argue about it (read incapable of doing so), but I think it's probably true in the same way I found Wisdom of Bones added credence to the Missing Link theory. Science is science. After my conversation with Ammo the other night, when I saw the magical, primitive nature of my childhood religion through his eyes, it struck me that this is what our favorite guy (poke, poke)Campbell means. TO survive, Christianity must reinvent and revise itself almost constantly to stay current with science. Or not? salon.com
