It probably won't get hurt too badly today. No one really expected them to make estimates. They now have 3 consecutive misses. Of more concern to me is the fact that they omitted the balance sheet from the release so as to conceal their precarious financial position. Based on Tom's system, though, now would be a good time to buy SGNT. They just issued a major new release, so they should have much better sales going forwards than they had in the past.

I do note that they seem to be focusing more on competing with BRIO/COGN/EPNY in the analytical aplication space in the future. A year ago they were primarily competing with INFA in the ETL space. Then they seemed to change focus more towards real-time analytics for internet data, more or less competing with EPNY/BBSW/ACRU/NETP. Since Barnes comes from the BI/OLAP area, I suppose that isn't surprising.

As I suspected, your (our) pain wasn't too bad yesterday. The negative results weren't a huge surprise, and they did announce some big news in the AM to prop the stock back up.
