Poet & Toscano, I bought some Feb. 61 QQQ calls on open this morning to help position me for the CSCO move tomorrow. This way, I at least have some protection on the top side.

If we go up tomorrow, I'll most likely reposition my puts and hold them until expiration, as I can't see us maintaining this range for too much longer. There is too much bad news hanging over the market.

Today everyone has just assumed good old CSCO will beat the street by $0.01/share, but nobody knows what their guidance for the rest of the year will be. I take it as a given that CSCO will meet expectations for earnings, but you can't be too certain about their guidance.

It's especially tricky when Chambers has been giving scarier pronouncements every couple of weeks.
