Two extracts from two recent articles. After reading the two extracts you got to wonder. MS must look enviously at WIND's market share and position.

BALLMER: Smarter phones, televisions and the in-home media center. There will be an application that's kind of the gateway to the Internet, it's the home distribution center for music, video, pictures -- its really an application that can run on the PC but might also be a special-purpose box. You have to find something that has broad usage and broad consumer awareness.
