If William recapitulates, I will short more. Shorting Amazon will not make me rich, but it is an extra spending money to have fun in Vegas.

I am sure you know that William is a celebrity. His name was in the paper about 1 1/2 years ago as an astute investor in AOL and YHOO. His motto was (not verbatim) : "one newsrelease a day from Pittman raises AOL stock by three points". Yes, at that time AOL had fuzzy accounting which shifted fees from one quarter to another. AOL got away with that. Amazon tried the same thing, but SEC
clamped down that "creative accounting".

Actually I like Bezos and his smile. He should do well in selling used cars.

Bill Curry reiterated Amazon's previous statements that the online retailer has
plenty of cash to pay its bills and reach operating profitability by the end of
the 2001. Curry also said Amazon's current assets grew faster year-over-year
than current liabilities. "At the end of the day, it's cash that pays the
piper, not accounting metrics," Curry said. (RS)

I wish Curry had the guts to debate this issue. I am quite certain someone at Amazon reads this thread at times. I have already called him inaccurate regarding his statement that Bezos never stated Amazon would be the place to buy everything. Curry pointing to their alliances is showing either a lack of understanding or no willingness to be truthful. Every firm selling other products that are direct partners with Amazon, the Zshops excluded, has part of their equity owned by Amazon. That makes Curry's pointing totally irrelevant.

So Mr. Curry, let's debate this.
