OSX 140+ Before Long

The wind is surely against our backs here. I am away from my desk so my numbers may be off a little. If we would make 140+ in September 2000, just as worldwide RIG counts reached 2,200, after 5+ months of improving fundamentals in the patch I see no reason not to expect to reach new highs soon.

I would expect between now and May-June we will reach through to new levels as Q3,4 & 2002 Q1,Q2 earnings become clearer.

OPEC's demonstrated willingness to control prices on the downside and interest rates are two added strengths to the wind on our backs. Perhaps a CSCO induced vacuum in front might help out some more. But I am not hoping for that. I picked up my first position in CSCO at yesterday's lows. Just hope the NASDAQ can tread water for 3-6 months.

Kodiakbull; you just took the Threads "Bull$hit Meter" to deep-brown sell territory with this post ~

re:

<< Yawn, another day higher and I think I'll just re-post this view of mine from yesterday, now with the OSX grinding up against 133, it's nice to have been right, at least short term. >>

..."yawn" is right.

What kind of self-aggrandizing, back-slapping BS is that about kodiak ?

- "right" about what ?

… about this ?

Warp et al,
Let's talk about some big picture TA:
siliconinvestor.com.
To the extent that stochastics and DMI indicators are valid for the OSX index, these point toward a continued rise in oils. The Williams' %R indicates that we are getting a little heady but, if you believe the press on the Williams' %R, you might not wish to sell until the indicator actually begins to nose downward.
Taking this chart to shorter periodicity (60 minute frequency) seems to indicate we may not have too much further to go on the upside. In any event, to those who like to read TA tea leaves, I simply open up the floor to ideas and opinions.

Your final answer was:

…"We may not have much further to go on the upside"

Well; if the last 15 points you missed of the OSX move wasn't "much further" - then I guess you were right. Otherwise; you're full of $hit. - or, after the OSX ran thru 130 "yesterday" are you self-congratulating for that 24 hour call after being wrong for the last 15 points ?

You sound like kollmnh now ?

Your "other" TA call was in that thread fav' grandieoise style - the "perfect straddle" - you know; guaranteeing that you can "ho hum", or "yawn" later with some drivelistic shyster-babble, self-aggrandizing back patting about being right (VBG)…and you did ~

I guess you couldn't be wrong either way; since you didn't take a stand on - either that the Stoch's, or the DMI were valid in their upward indication, or the Williams %R was showing that we were getting heady, or taking it to a shorter "periodicity" - ( or, is that periodocity" ? ) - we didn't have to much further to go ?

But; I guess we'd have to watch what you did with your money - ie: dumping RIG

…..Sold my short term RIG today, now it's falling back down. I suppose we see RIG in the 42s again, it will be time to buy again...>>

================================================================

Well Rig closed at $43 the day you sold and that was 6 points, or 14% ago fwiw.

Kodiak; you just had to do it didn't you ?

JQP wasn't enough of late; living in denial that all those NG E&Ps are down $10-$15; you had add your back-slappin' - self aggrandizing "yawn" comments which are obviously in reality, quite contrary to your "being right" - and you just had to provide an additional thrust to the threads "Bull$hit Back-Slappin" Meter" here now didn't you ?...just had to send the Bull$hit Meter into deep-brown sell territory didn't you ? … Just had to kill this OSX rally, didn't you ? … Just couldn't leave well enough alone & stay with that shyster-babble perfect straddle ? ......Noooooooooo;you had to go & slap yourself on the back for "Being Right" - now didn't you (VBG)?

PS: You & kollmnh must be twins; or alternate screen names....

Yawn, Ho Hum... got some gtc $26.50 CSCO & INTC to check the drag lines on...I'll probably have to take some levered PGO & OSX profits here to go Tech Fishing now - thanks to kodiakbull$hitter pushing the Threads Bull$hit Meter into deep brown "sell/profit taking" territory...

Ciao~

Oh - PS S: JQP

re: Cousin Bob's SI termination....

No; it wasn't his caveat emptor attitude & I'm sure he grew tired of your pithy little "don't ask - don't tell" tissy fits & PM campaigns; but you ought to get a "woodie" on his new replacments (VBG) .... word has it that Naveen Jain of INSP replaced all of the USA based Silicon Investor Administrators with a bunch of loinclothed 12 year old Indian boy computer whiz's who will be working online from Thatched Huts half naked in New Dehli...
