Here's a gem from that article:

GE is legitimately cheap on an earnings basis. Its price to 2001 earnings ratio is 36.

They are allegedly growing at 14% annually. What am I missing here?

speaking of GE, here is the party line, via a friend of mine:

Business Week ran a story suggesting that we will be laying off more than
75,000 employees. There are no such plans.
