UncleFrank,re:"CSCO resting". Are you ready? The bomb is
coming !!! <ggg>

$12 will never come. Reasons:

1. those cannot afford to HOLD have already been wiped out.
2. those still holding don't have to sell, regardless of
the price. (maybe from time to time to pay tax or
some luxury habit/expense, certainly not for the sake
of sale).

From time to time, the stock(s) will go up when
the ordinary Joe's 401K, blind-mutual-fund investments
have that extra money to buy. Then the 'smart money'
wipe it clean and sell and wait for another batch of
money ... I think that's what happened in Japan's stock
and real-estate.

Life sucks when you are stupid.

shouldn't we be focusing on buying canned goods and gold coins instead of equities?

canned goods have been a better store of value than csco stock this past year, IMo. however, csco stock is noncaloric, and stock certificates are high in fiber. there's always a tradeoff...

I heard the same thing on the LU thread two years ago.

Gold coins would be a good investment, yes. I have said this on various threads as I believe the impending implosion of the dollar will cause an exodus to gold.
