What else would we expect MOT to say? I wonder what NOK would say? MOT is expressing its wishful thinking, again showing me that Galvin will never face reality while he runs a great company, MOT, into the ground. He and Jorma of NOK should form an "In Denial" society.

I suppose it can be called "dominant" until it hits 50% global market share.

I remember several years back (95ish) a executive at MOT said "35 million analog users cant be wrong" downplaying the migration of carriers and consumers to digital. This was when MOT WAS king of analog. The rest is history. Mot is bitter about loosing in the CDMA infrastructure business. The comment certainly came from the GSM side of the house.

What's wrong with MOT's comments? Irwin Jacobs has said that most of the first billion cell phones will be GSM and most of the second billion will be CDMA. Of course GSM will continue to dominate CDMA for the next few years, just like AMPS dominated 2G. If Q is selling off due to MOT's comments then it's nothing more than traders taking advantage of a short term opportunity.

We bought a little more Q at 82....bringing our avg buy on Q today a bit above 83...thanks MOT for the FUD...there is a reason that QCOM has outperformed the NAZ for some time now and one day does not change that...certainly anything Motorola or the head-in-the-sand Galvin has to say is not relevant to why the Q is displaying good relative strength. Note the VERY LOW VOLUME in the Q today.
