Do any of these economic forecasts mean didly? Does all of this concern about the top or bottom or middle of the semi-cycle move the price of AMAT 1/16th. I think not.

The economic forecast from every thread is for a great slow down. A reduced outlook for a whole lot of stocks. But look around you instead of theorizing about all of this. Manufacturing stocks where the decline is purported to be the greatest are doing very well thank you. Look today at Ford, GM, Visteon, Delphi, Lear. These stocks are in an industry with a definite short term and long term decline ( more than one year). But the stocks are doing very well. Why would AMAT, LRCX, NVLS respond any differently than these other industrial stocks?

There have some interesting ideas presented on economic theory, but he ability of these pseudo intellectual discussions to predict the time to buy AMAT or to sell AMAT has been wanting.
