Yes I believe you. But. Don't underestimate the huge advantage of being the de facto standard. Remember OS/2 versus Windows 3.1?

I was an EDA software developer up until Xmas (when I decided to bag it because I have enough clownbucks now). We absolutely HATED having to deal with non-Sun platforms. Especially AIX.
