Gst, is this is this a good or a bad sign? Cisco missed!
>NEW YORK, Feb 6 (Reuters) - Cisco Systems Inc., the biggest maker of computer networking-equipment said bookings softness that began in mid-December continued through January.

"The next several quarters will be challenging," Chief Executive John Chambers said.

Chambers made the comments on a conference call to discuss the company's fiscal second-quarter results. Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) said its profit before one-time items rose 48 percent to $1.33 billion, or 18 cents a share, from $897 million, of 12 cents, a year ago.

Analysts had forecast Cisco would earn 19 cents a share, according to First Call/Thomson Financial.
