Ebola has been around a long time. "The Hot Zone" was a best seller, but the very dramatic case described there actually killed 1 person, even the doctor that the main victim erupted all over recovered. An Ebola plague is extremely hypothetical. The AIDS epidemic is anything but hypothetical. Something can be done about it, but not if the holy rollers that have W's ear have their way. Much more important to do something symbolic in the abortion wars, it seems.
