I think it's safe to assume that Craig Barrett isn't strapped for cash, and of course he should exercise his options, rather than let them expire. However, by selling the shares he's making a statement that he doesn't consider Intel to be a "hold" much less a buy, even at these depressed levels. He's saying it's a "sell". Some might argue that people at that level need to diversify but I'd feel much more confident if he exercised and held. I'll tell him that as soon as he calls for advice....
