How comforting the extrinsic authority must be, and apparently how liberating-- from even the basic structures of civility.

Rambi, I said nothing about extrinsic authority, I did talk about extrinsic moral ideas but I did not claim that they originated from God. I just think certain actions are wrong. The list of things that I feel this about strongly might surprise you with it brevity. Also I think I have been very civil. I'm not sure if you were refering to me by those comments after where talking about the pro-choice thread, but you also said whether you turned on any lightbulbs for Tim or not.

My experience is much different than yours. I find people who have a real sense of their own spirituality and their connection to a higher power than this human form to be much more civil than the average person.
