Check out the gap up on the chart. MICROSOFT CORP. (MSFT): Microsoft Corp. founder and chairman Bill Gates registered to sell an additional 3,000,000 shares of the company's common stock. Gates listed Jan. 29 as the approximate date of sale for the shares, which have a total market value of about $193.3 million. The filing lists Goldman Sachs as the broker for the sale. He had earlier reported sales of the same number of shares Jan. 25 and 26.
