Funny thing, the same thought crossed my mind. I doubt it will be too hard to find attorneys willing to assist a organization that doesn't happen to be on the Bush administration's list of state-approved religions. Financing such a legal effort won't be too difficult, either :-).

Seriously, the notion of giving government support to programs run by faith-based organizations is so horribly flawed that I doubt it will ever amount to much. I took this to be just another grandstanding political cheap shot, as I believe the tax cut proposal is as well. I'm sure a few folks around here recall a time when it was a widely accepted notion that the Federal budget would not be balanced, ever. Welcome back.

It will be interesting to see the next impractical and/or pernicious notion Duhbya floats for the fish. Bread and circuses, anyone?

TP, there is already a lawsuit against a Texas faith-based program. I'm not sure
what is happening with the issue at the moment.

Last night, the news highlighted Senators McCain and Kennedy's, "Patients Bill of Rights."

I believe we need something. We don't belong to an HMO. Yet, we are treated as if we do!

It took months last year to get reimbursement for my husband's surgery for sleep apena, and
his case was so severe that he had an episode every minute. I am having problems with
prescription renewals.

And the people who make the decisions about our insurance coverage are administrators!!!!
