When I was real young I stayed with my grannie during couple of summers. She found rods that looked like cane poles to me to fish Sugar Creek. I ruined those rods and they were hand made Bamboo Fly Rods. Worth thousands today.

I have a 20' bass boat and thousands of $$ worth of equipment. But I still love doing the cane pole stuff.
