Tragic for SI, but probably high on the list of 'Best Things To Ever Happen To Bob'. • No more working for weasels • SI constituency probably has at least 100 job offers for him, with better pay and fewer headaches. He'll have a heck of job smorgasbord from which to choose. • More programming time, less hand-holding with...ah...the "socially-challenged". He'd enjoy that. Or, maybe just retire to play with tractors, backhoes, and cars all day. He got the better end of this deal, and I wish him the very best!
