Open Post to Chris Powell, Secretary/Treasurer Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee Inc.

CNN Larry King Live on Wednesay of this week Feb 7
will have as guest for the full hour John Ashcroft,
Attorney General of the USA.

My prior post, of which this is a reply to, has the url
to the web site where i obtained this information,
and it states the following.

"He'll be on for the full hour, and will answer your questions!"

This CNN web page also says that questions can be submitted
prior to the live broadcast using the email link provided on that page.

"Submit your questions early."

My specutation is that if Larry was to ask Mr. Ashcroft
if he know about a current lawsuit against Alan Greenspan
and other parties in regard to a gold price-fixing fraud
that this would be like that shot heard around the world
that i believe happened near Boston, MA in 17??.

Imagine if those who are now reading this message agree
with my suggestion that the following letter be cleared
by GATA so as it is allowed to be emailed to Larry King
in the hope that if done enough times, that it will get
the attention of Larry King's staff that reviews those
emails questions and passes it on to Mr. King.

Hopefully even without this approach other pro-gata folks
reading this post will copy it in approach onto all other
gold discussion web sites in the hope that many others
besides my single email to Larry King reaches CNN.

... the Gata/Howe lawsuit....

The following letter was sent on January 12, 2001
to Paul O'Neil, John Ashcroft, Laurence Lindsey
and General Colin Powell at the following address:

Bush-Cheney Presidential Transition Office
1800 G Street NW
Washington, DC 20270

Dear General Powell,

I am Chairman of the Gold Anti-Trust Action Committee.

The gold price has been artificially held down hundreds of dollars
below its natuaral equilibrium price by a cabal of New York bullion banks
and a facet of the present U.S. Administration.

GATA was formed to expose this price-fixing fraud.

On May 10, 2000 a GATA delegation met in Washington
with the Honorable Dennis Hastert, Congressman Spencer Bachus,
Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Domestic and International
Monetary Policy and Dr. John Silvia, Chief Economist of the Senate
Banking Committee, and presented each a copy of a document entitled
"Gold Derivative Banking Crisis."

Much has happened since then. Reg Howe, a member of that delegation,
filed a Complaint on December 7, 2000 in Massachusetts Federal Court
against the bullion banks discussed in that document,
the Bank of International Settlements, Alan Greenspan,
William McDonough and Lawrence Summers.

... feel free to call me at anytime regarding this matter.

I will be in South Africa from January 27 through Februay 9
meeting with political leaders, mining unions, the press
and the major gold producers of that country about this issue.

Best regards,
Bill Murphy
