That was not my point..........my point is that existing defense systems apparently have done the trick.


30 years ago the USSR and England could hit the US. Now China can. Soon more countries will. 30 years from now there will probably be many countries with ICBM capability. As the threat changes sometimes our response has to change.

Edit - Also missile defence includes being able to defend our allies and our armed forces from shorter range missiles. Many countries have these missiles. The Patriot has very limited capability against them. I think we need a better defense then the Patriot.
