VZ - why I have 50% of my money there. Because I believe that nomatter what the slowdown that this company is undervalued and going to make some very big moves this year.
FON, WCOM also undervalued, but VZ to my mind is clearly the best. Notice the article today about their putting pressure on the little ISP's to take second positions or go out of business. They control the hard lines of the information superhighway in the best US markets. And their PE is 12. Just 12. Try to criticize that, bears. I also have GE which is strong and not overvalued at all.

My tech names are strictly bottom picks and I am obviously fighting to legitimize that bottom. Really nobody knows. And only Greenspan knows when his next surpise might be. I am hoping we can at least get back to last week's tech prices on the CSCO's of the world. SUNW and ADBE will probably perform better short-term. The event would be if CSCO falls beneath it's 52-week low of 31. If that happens, well Greenspan had better be nimble and quick.

Chip stocks look a little more attractive if you can snag INTC at $33 for instance. But don't count out CSCO. They just had a bad spin cycle day. They still grow at almost 50% and don't assume the second half won't be much better.
Capital spending and perceptions can both change quickly as we saw in November. What goes down can up back up just as fast.

PS - Did anyone notice Disney surprising today despite a terrible quarter letting go of Go-Com? Entertainment content is really worth something.
