Pete,

You win. We are not really $6 trillion in debt, and we really do need to spend $100 billion on a useless missile defense system.

Balanced budgets are not important, and who really cares what we leave behind for the children? The little suckers deserve to be saddled with $50,000 debt the day they leave home.

There will probably still be a few animals left living in zoos, and we have all those great National Geographic flicks to show them what wildlife was like.

Hopefully, they will have mastered the art of manufacturing soy-based fish tasting products, because they will probably never get to taste any real fish.

As long as we are having fun, that's all that's important!
