Scumbria... "DDR is dead. Nothing for you to be upset about. Scumbria"

That almost sounds too easy. Something must be up?

Interesting that you prefer to listen to people who have proven repeatedly that they have no idea what they are talking about.

Again, you either have a literacy problem or a comprehension problem. I'm not listening to anyone about anything. I'm simply looking at the number of DDR PC systems available 3 months after the DDR launch and saying it's a failure so far. And you've said nothing that refutes that "failure" status. All I've done is ask you for evidence that it is available as main memory in some systems from a major vendor. You've been unable to do that, and apparently are unable to understand that request.

A few months ago many on this thread said that DDR would either never work on PC's, or that it would have to be soldered down.

A year ago Carl said the same thing about RDRAM (that it probably wouldn't work in a socketed configuration). Quite a few of the rest of the bears said the same thing. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. So far, we don't have any major vendors stepping up to the plate to say it does.

Maybe I'm really not that stupid.

I'm sure each reader of the board has their own opinion about that.

DDR is dead.

If you say so.
