I don't know if "a recovery will become obvious" until long after the fact (this echoes what a few have been saying on this thread). I suspect that this won't be the case (being obvious), especially with all the doom and gloom being tossed around so easily by many folks. The NASDAQ could go down another 25% or more without greatly effecting the nation's recovery process. Momentum and sentiment in the equities markets can stay overly negative while most are focusing on the short term.

It seems to me that too many people are pointing to their stock portfolio declines as an indication that nation is in a terrible recession. AG and the fed took away the punch bowl in early 2000 and many are still walking around with a "market wealth effect" hangover.

As for me, I've started to nibble on some of the smaller semi-eq companies.
