They don't care, Tiger, Most of the women here were coming from Coby's moderate definition and not from any extremes. All agreed that they didn't want to argue the sliding scale of belief, but to respect each other's personal views, knowing that these beliefs had been formed through painful personal experiences and through careful examination of the facts. This didn't matter to the posters yesterday. Most of the women here have children, many have experienced the pain of losing a pregnancy or a baby, some have children with handicaps, some have worked in the field of social services and witnessed firsthand the results of an unwanted pregnancy. One wrote about giving her baby up for adoption in what I consider an incredibly brave post. We are not flippant in our approach to this issue, nor are we immoral or stupid. We deserved better than the Jerry Springer antics and Neanderthal opinions that erupted here. I lost respect for a lot of people yesterday, not that it matters at all to them, but it was important for me. I realize that I have been naive about the battle women still fight, not for abortion, not for any specific right, but to be treated with respect and dignity. A new thread has been started. It will be moderated because it needs to be. One does not allow animals into the house unless they are housebroken.
