I ordered a five foot Christ on the Cross to hang over the fireplace. It ought to be a showstopper at our next party. I loved Mother. Really. You could tell she was a woman of great faith. And any HSN salesperson who so carefully tells you that the water may NOT come from Lourdes, has my respect. After her program, they actually said a rosary. I was reciting it along with them, and that was when Ammo started getting really weirded out. We forget how odd pre-Vatican II Catholicism appears to a child raised on Protestantism and science fiction. God is much less accessible, much less physically present, I think, than He was to me as a child. 6 channels. wow.
