You didn't say "for the rest of my life". You said for good. That usually means for ever as in if we check back in 30 million years it will still be ruined.

That's right...you need to look up the word "pristine"...never mind..it means untouched, pure, like new.

After an oil spill, ANWAR will never be pristine again.
I am unclear why this is so difficult to comprehend....have you never see the results of an oil spill?

Tim,

It is probably best for human beings to not view their lives in terms of geologic time. If they did, all human accomplishments would seem trivial.

I find it interesting how many conservatives have difficulty putting things in perspective. Comments like "$1.6 trillion isn't very much", are an indication of a major disconnect with reality.
