Hi Ian,
The reason I purchased stock in those companies is that I believe in the long term prospects of each, as well as the long term prospects of the sector. I haven't backed up the truck but I did start nibbling.

FWIW, I have 2 portfolios, one for trading and one for investing. The recent semi-eq purchases have been put into the investment portfolio with profits taken from the trading portfolio. Since I have been very successful trading and investing, I'll continue to approach the market from both angles. Also, I fully understand there is a potential downside to holding these companies in today's market environment. Like you stated, the prices of these stocks can change swiftly since they have a small float and low daily volume. They may not be appropriate for everyone's portfolio but I believe they complement my current holdings.
