Truth, or Dare time... who's buying Cisco/Tech here ? With tech - who one knows where the bottom is ? - fundamentally it should be 1650-1850ish on a final capitulation thrust under NAZ 2000 with a DCB back to 2000ish. But, Tech investors have remained undaunted and there is a ton of cash, more than I had originally thought; all remaining ready, willing & able to enter on any dips... and Fighting the Fed has never been a great bet & with this much cash & liquidity ? - can't see fighting the Fed working. Could be one hell of a tech buying opp here - with the Gorilla's & King's finally coming in. December presented us with lots of 2nd & 3rd tier players reaching bottoms ; but now - we have the "names" coming in as well and we've got 2 Fed Cuts behind us and another one in the pipe...along with a Tax Cut from GW. Nibbling on CSCO - still only a 25%ish position of what I'd ultimately like to own . The way I look at it; better to have a partial position at $30; than to miss it by waiting for some arbitrary bottom and end up with none at all... $30 CSCO surely should bring no LT-tears to anyone's eyes. I don't think CSCO's numbers "really" surprised anyone... this is reactive selling - surely a .01 cent miss & the revenue range guidance was expected. I have a feeling that there's a lot of money waiting confidently to buy CSCO "large" at the first hint of a turn here... Re-set my gtc's for $24 & $18 - increasing share volume on the way down for an ultimate cost basis of $22ish if filled thru $18. As Kodiak would say - "50% chance that I might, or might not be" filled at $24, but I think $18 is wishfull thinking. Watching, but being patient on EMC SEBL ORCL BEAS INTC and I like the chip's/semi's when we see the signs of true capitulation... PMCS tempting here for an initial entre ... MU could be a screamer as well if this is just a 2 Qtr phonemena... I'm wraping my mouse with duct tape - so I can't buy any PMCS today....but, there's allways the phone ~ You just about have to honor what the consumer cyclicals are telling us - as they were the leading indicators of going into the downturn & now they're signaling a 2H recovery here now as well; Home Builders at new highs etc... PMCS a great niche & a great company; now just 1/4th of it's prior high ? - amazing... simply amazing. I'd love to roll into a 35%ish Tech position here - rolling out of an OSX rally to new highs. ==================================================================== PS Di; don't be teasing us with all this fishy-cheesy, Aquavit Noridic-speak.... you've got us all picturing this statuesque 6'2" Elke Sommer-Ursula Andress look-a-like; please don't really be 5'2" & from Bulgaria.... ;) ...and "Q" - you know you've never had me on ignore; you love the attention Rumpster ~ ... and Kodiak; no major-domo problemo ~ I just got tired of your tag along "ho-hum" - "yawn" after the fact & not quite reality self-aggrandizing back pats; after all this "too-cute" running social commentary of late.
