Pravin:

Once the current Nas assault runs its course (2:00 PM today'd be fine) AMD should be good for a swift retest of $26.50...

Pravin, yikes. I'm staying away from margin at least thru February. AMD is, however, holding up nicely today.

One possibility, if techs continue to spin down (as they're trending), AG left it open that he's not afraid to do another emergency cut before the next meeting. If this happens and AMD holds it's ground, it could pay off nicely. We've seen the markets react better to his surprise cuts than his expected ones.

If NAZ drops to sub 2400, I will buy as many techs as I can afford - in anticipation of a cut. That's my arbitrary level (2400), hopefully I don't miss out.

Good luck!

Dave

Pravin: Sony's new graphics processor:

Owie... some impressive stuff.

a 462-mm2 beast that
makes the company's Graphics Synthesizer chip
featured in Sony's Playstation 2 look like child's
play.

The device contains 256-Mbit of on-chip embedded
DRAM, or eight times more than the current
Graphics Synthesizer. The DRAM and wide
2,000-bit internal buses can deliver 48 gigabytes
per second of bandwidth.

Wouldn't mind seeing something like this in a PC CPU setting.
