That's odd. The techs are whispering "wait, I'll get cheaper" to me.

I want CSCO but don't want to pay more than $27 to get it. Confident I will own it within 2 weeks.

Have a few other solid tech plays in my sights but finger isn't on the trigger yet.

KODIAC re: <<Techs are whispering the two most dangerous words in the English language: buying opportunity.>>

Tech is where I have made most of my money in the mrkt. Right now I have ear plugs in and I'm not listening to those voices that say that because tech has dropped so much and has such a good future, it must be time to buy. The reasons that tech is going down now are not likely to change any time soon. Anyone who believes that there is light at the end of the tech tunnel and that the mrkt will price that in, sees further and better than I do. I think it's like diving off the side of the road in the dark to avoid the German cops, the scream fades farther and farther away and you're not sure when he'll hit. (He had a sprained ankle, maybe broken, the rest of us dived under the wire. A little incident involving an altercation with a German in a car who tried to run over us. The third time he made a run at us the car got damaged pretty badly.) But I digress, (I thought you might like that) the point is that I don't believe anyone can rationally predict the effect of these latest efforts of the fed to bring things back into equilibrium and positive growth. Sentiment, inflation, energy and many other variables are in flux and could result in strong moves either way.

I'm no expert, but I see some problems that will only be solved with time and I see the time as being longer than all but the most patient and confident investors will wait. I still think that osx stocks are the safest place to be other than cash, in spite of the fact that they aren't steals right now.

I've been reading the thread to see what osx stocks look best out there. I appreciate Sharp, Don, Que, Big Dog, and, yes, slider and others who have taken the time to post their picks and the reasons and research behind those picks.

Congratulations on your ride up in the mrkts. I know from your pm's that predated your gains that your ride up was not fueled by hot air so you should be immune from the "mine's bigger than yours" crowd and you may not have to knat swat. You have placed yourself at risk, however and you are fair game. gg Ed
