I do not pretend to any certainty about where the market is headed in the near, or even intermediate, term. There have been gains since the Inauguration, but nothing dramatic. I would not venture to say more......

Bush has to payback all his rich friends that bought his office for him so he needs to get his tax cut through Congress. He has to slow down the economy in order to justify the tax cut.
